Rationale:
Somewhere in the ocean there’s a real whale that sings at a frequency no other whales can hear, so it swims the oceans alone. This creature is known as “52 Hertz” or the Loneliest Whale.
In this ad for Three Mobile, we tell the story of the Loneliest Whale, and one of the many people around the world who are working tirelessly to find the Loneliest Whale and communicate with it. The human desire for this creature to be heard says so much about the value we as people put on communication, which is why we decided to tell this unique story.
The mobile phone market is crowded with lifestyle ads and offer-led shouting – Three Ireland needed to tell a story that expressed their brand values and captured the importance of communication.
